About Us
Devin Saylor, Founder and Managing Partner
Devin Saylor founded Adaptive CRE to offer practical, customized ESG services to commercial real estate organizations and funds of all sizes. After decades in the industry, she recognized that ESG strategies suitable for large public companies may not deliver the same financial returns or be feasible for smaller, private firms. She also recognized that many sustainability professionals lack firsthand experience in commercial real estate and a limited understanding of the related investment fundamentals that can great impact project costs and results.
Her career uniquely blends three decades of diverse experience in commercial real estate with a extensive expertise in ESG consulting. This makes her an ideal partner for organizations looking to refine their ESG strategies and enhance investment performance. She has successfully managed, closed, and developed over $2 billion in real estate assets across three continents, working for REITs, investment funds, owner/operators, and developers.

Fun fact
Acre, short for Adaptive CRE, is the U.S. unit of measurement for land, equaling 43,560 square feet or roughly 4,047 square meters—about the size of a football field (minus the end zones). Historically, an acre was defined by the amount of land a yoke of oxen could plow in a day, but today it serves as a standardized measure for land. Today, land remains one of the world’s most valuable assets due to its finite supply, making it distinct from other commodities. Our mission is to future-proof buildings and the land they stand on.
